Vào tối 17/5/2016, Bộ Di Trú và Bảo vệ Biên giới (DIBP) của Úc vừa công bố Danh sách Tay nghề Định cư mới (Skilled Occupations List – SOL), sẽ có hiệu lực từ 1/7/2016.
Danh sách Tay nghề Định cư SOL sẽ được dùng để duyệt xét visa các subclass: 189 (Skilled Independent Visa) 489 (Skilled Regional Provisional Visa) 485 (Graduate Temporary Visa) Bộ Di Trú cũng công bố danh sách Danh sách Tay nghề Định cư Cần Bảo trợ (Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List – CSOL) trong dịp này, dành cho các hồ sơ xin visa subclass: 190 (Skilled Nominated Visa) 457 (Temporary Work Skilled Visa) 186 (Employer Nominated Scheme).
Những ngành nhiều du học sinh người Việt theo học vẫn nằm trong Danh sách Tay nghề Định cư SOL năm nay như: Kế toán(Accountant, Management Accountant, Taxation Accountant) Y tá(Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse) Một số chuyên ngành IT Úc vẫn cần(ICT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Developer Programmer, Software Engineer, Computer Network & Systems Engineer, Telecommunications Engineer, Telecommunications Network Engineer…)
Những nhóm ngành mà Bộ giáo dục Úc hồi đầu năm cho rằng đã đủ người hoặc nhu cầu sẽ giảm như: Bác sĩ gia đình (General Practitioner), Bác sĩ Sản khoa và Phụ khoa (Obstetrician & Gynaecologist), Chuyên viên Nhãn khoa (Optometrist), Chuyên viên Vật lý trị liệu (Physiotherapist)… vẫn còn trong SOL 2016-17
Trong khi Nha sĩ (Dentist), Giáo viên Tiểu học (Primary School Teacher), Dược sĩ (Hospital/ Industrial/ Retail Pharmacist), Chuyên gia dinh dưỡng về ăn kiêng (Dietitian), Chuyên viên làm web (Web developer)… đã rớt xuống, nằm trong danh sách Danh sách Tay nghề Định cư Cần Bảo trợ CSOL. Danh sách Tay nghề Định cư SOL 2016 – 2017 có hiệu lực từ ngày 1 tháng 7 năm 2016.
